The new HD2 Motorsports Hero camera is now even better suited for motorsport with the option of a 3.5mm input for external sound, this is perfect for a feed taken directly from your intercom, this adding the communication between driver and co-driver onto the video footage for a more exciting viewing experience. There is also an external microphone built into the camera to capture road and engine noises.
This small lightweight unit gives you up to 1080p HD video footage but is programmable for either 960p or 720p, allowing good quality video but using a lot less space on your memory card.
The camera comes with various mounts as part of the standard package, these allowing the camera to be mounted on windows, bodywork, helmets etc, although you will require the rollbar mount (available as an extra) to pass scrutineering on a motorsport event.
New additions to the camera for 2012 is a 10 picture per second burst with its 11mp camera. Better programming make it easier to use, and with an LED operating light on nearly every side it allows you see when the camera is operating.

The unit uses HD Video SD cards and are not supplied with the unit. These are available up to 32gb, this size giving around 4hours of video footage.
