The WRC Carbon Des is at the forefront of helmet design and now homologated in a much higher Snell SA2010 - safety standard. Following on from the success of the original Piuma helmet the Des version has a number of upgrades making it much improved.
While the renowned WRC electronics with padded earmuffs remain the same, the com port has been moved forward to allow easy easier access for connecting the intercom and is further away from the HANS post?
The WRC Carbon Des is by far the most futuristic helmet on the market, and much stronger having passed the Snell SA2010 safety standard being the FIA's minimum standard in the years to come (begining January 2014), and it also has the latest FIA 8858-2010 HANS posts. The Des helmet range are the only helmet with EPS cheek pads offering better protection than other brands.
The new helmet weighes in at 1190g for the small shell and 1230g for the large shell in the Large and Extra Large size helmets.
