Nicky Grist Motorsports will very shortly receive its first shipment of brand new Turn One 6 Point Harnesses – and you can be one of the first in the UK to use them by placing an order now!
The Turn One 6 Point Harness has been granted the very latest FIA 8853-2016 homologation standard – which is a rigorous test, as the FIA explains:
‘The new standard has been defined by the FIA in collaboration with the Global Institute for Motor Sport Safety (GIMSS) and with the manufactures of FIA-approved safety harnesses. The principle requirements have been established based on the analysis of accident data together with dynamic sled testing.
‘This new standard has been developed for harnesses made up of two pelvic, two shoulder and two crutch straps which is a total of six straps in contact with the drivers body.
‘The aim of the new 8853-2016 standard is to provide objective performance and design requirements for safety harnesses, which are CONSIDERABLY in excess of those of the previous 8853-98 standard.
‘The new harness standard will ensure improved strength during frontal and angled frontal impacts.’
“The latest FIA 8853-2016 homologation test is extremely tough to pass and we now have in stock the first of the brand new Turn One 6 Point HANS Harnesses in the UK,” says Nicky Grist. “All this in the Turn One package of extremely cost effective pricing gives crews the safest standard available at the best price on the market.”
The new Turn One 6 Point Harness is available in the standard three inch or the HANS variation and comes in black or red.
