Stilo has launched its successor to the very successful ST5 model lineup with the ST6 range, this new helmet offering improved safety, comfort, and aerodynamics and a stunning new look.
The company proudly showcased their new range of motorsport helmets in Bergamo, Italy, back in October 2024. The ST6 range of helmets is now an innovative blend of technology, innovation and Stilo know-how.

How does the ST6 helmet range differ from the ST5 model helmets?
Weight Reduction
The ST6 range of helmets adheres to the core principle that all motorsports helmets should strive for: being as light as possible and made to the highest of safety standards. The ST6 model line-up is up to 11% lighter than the previous ST5 product line-up, and weight savings have been made right across the whole range.
Optimal cooling
Driver comfort is what can give you that much-needed competitive edge; the ST6 range of rally helmets is now designed to offer optimal cooling technology integrated into the helmet.
One of the most significant upgrades is the addition of new top ventilation holes incorporated into these rally helmets. The purpose of this improved design is to reduce sweat and moisture buildup for the driver and co-drivers. This “advanced airflow system” has been designed based on feedback sourced from Stilo's Formula 1 drivers competing at the highest pinnacle of the sport.
Hearing protection
The ST6F and GT versions, come equipped with high-quality race comms built in, microphone in the chin area, with a comm port for radio connection built into the shell and has a connection for earplugs as required in FIA events. This enhances the product's hearing protection levels while also allowing for greater concentration on the communication with the pit wall when required.
Improved downward field of view
As all good drivers tell you that better visibility results in better performance on the road and the track. The ST6 helmet design enhances the downward field of view allowing better peripheral vision than the original ST5 models.
This new design feature is a crucial benefit for circuit racing and track competitions that require pit driver changes.
Completely re-engineered and redesigned visor locking system
Stilo has significantly enhanced its safety measures with the introduction of the new ST6 racing helmets. The new Stilo range of helmets features a completely redesigned and updated visor locking system.
The new visor locking system adheres to the new and very strict FIA 8860-2018 and 8859-2024 safety standards for impact on visors.
Raising standards
The ST6FN ABP Composite is actually the first helmet globally to achieve the “FIA8859-ABP homologation”, demonstrating Stilo’s expertise in product innovation on a global level. Advanced Ballistic Protection (ABP) is built into the forehead area of a helmet to protect the driver from flying objects, mixing this tough material into a composite material is very difficult, but it was managed by the Stilo engineers. When you therefore purchase a Stilo premium helmet, you can be assured that the best engineering benefits really does safety, and at Stilo it is at the forefront of their product design.
Aggressive styling
Gone are the days of clunky and heavy helmets that ultimately compromised performance due to the discomfort that they offered.
The ST6 offers the latest helmet technology and is available in “Carbon Puro Tech” and “Clear Coated Carbon” models, as well as many completely composite versions. These helmets are remarkably lightweight compared to certain other rally helmet models manufactured by many other companies for rally use.
These allow for more aggressive styling options that look great regardless of which motorsport event you are competing in or practising for.
Improved cheek pad design
The ST6 helmets also now feature a redesigned cheek pad design, offering improved stability and comfort, which are crucial for the more demanding rally tracks.
New pivot points
The ST6 range of helmets also has an improved forward chin-bar design to reduce noise and fogging.

Stilo ST6 FN, F & GT Composite
The ST6 has a new composite shell design, available in a titanium or white finish. The ST6 F & GT model helmets are supplied with Stilo’s very own WRC Race electronics with earplug connections that are built into the helmet. The ST6 FN does not come with electronics and does not have the comm ports built into the cheek area of the shell.
Although this helmet does not have a carbon construction, its features and price point make it a very popular option among experts and enthusiasts globally. The new Titanium colour adds to the new helmet shape and makes it really standout with its high-class finish.
Most importantly, the ST6 Composite meets the new FIA 8859-2024 and Snell SA2025 safety standards. All ST6 come with FHR connections as standard.
Stilo ST6 FN, F & GT Carbon
This helmet is manufactured with a full-carbon shell and in a new lighter carbon weave, the helmet model and finish comes in at a very competitive price point. With enhanced visibility and comfort of the ST6, the big benefit with this model is the weight saving, making it far better to a driver allowing you to cope with the high G-forces created in racing. Other than weight, the gloss carbon finish of the helmet really does look fantastic.
This model also meets the new FIA 8859-2024 and Snell SA2025 safety standards. All Stilo ST6 racing helmets comes with FHR connection as standard.
Stilo ST6 FN, F & GT Zero
The Stilo ST6 ZERO 8860 is extremely light; this is actually the lightest full-face helmet that we stock at Nicky Grist Motorsports. Aggressive styling and lightness, this racing helmet refuses to compromise on any aspect of its design or overall construction. The ST6 Zero meets the very stringent F1 standard “FIA 8860-2018” standard for international motorsport. This is, without doubt, the ultimate in racing helmets.
Stilo have been developing their F1 specification helmet for some years and with the experience and knowledge gained in Formula 1 has really brought on the ST6 to a higher level than their previous model. The Stilo visor locking pin is testimony to this, and the new FIA requirement for impact testing of visors, which Stilo really did excel in the engineering of this part by passing this new test with flying colours.
Stilo ST6 8860
The ST6 8860 Helmet is constructed of carbon and meets the highest safety standard available in the “FIA 8860-2018” standard for international motorsport. Constructed in a more economical carbon material that weighs a fraction more than the Zero model, but has all the safety benefits and again is packed with all the ST6 features for comfort and useability.
A great helmet that is a fraction more than the ST6 Carbon range, but the benefit with the 8860 model, it allows you to buy a helmet that allows you to enter any event you wish, without the worry of having a helmet that is not to required the FIA8860-2018 standard.
