We explore Goodridge’s comprehensive range of motorsport fittings and hoses

Competing in motorsport events places considerable stress and strain on an engine and its connected fittings. Imagine the scene: you're flat-out driving on the Ouninpohja WRC stage and you’re enjoying every second of the experience.

However, take a second to imagine the extreme pressure on the braking system during such a drive, all those blind crests and massive jumps as the driver dabs the brake pedal to navigate the difficult terrain.

You therefore can't afford, when you’re a true driver, to be buying inadequate fittings, as the stresses and strains placed on any motorsport vehicle are, well, pretty much tremendous.

A leaking oil or brake hose?

Well, that could mean game over for the entire race and a very frustrated rally team back at base if the car does falter. It doesn’t matter if you’re a WRC pro or you like the feeling of acceleration at the odd track day you attend; when it comes to high-performance driving, you need the fittings to withstand the BHP your engine is putting out and to support, for example, the braking system.

In what is often an extremely hot engine bay with a red-hot turbo, a fire caused by spraying fuel or oil will be a major issue (to put it mildly). This could mean that you lose the car, not to mention having to exit the race early.

As a last line of resort, the driver could pull the cord for the motorsport fire extinguisher into action, bringing your hope of holding the trophy or best lap time to a rather abrupt end.

Enter Goodridge

When you have a discussion about brake lines, hoses and specialist fittings in motorsport circles, you often are pointed to a brand that’s synonymous with engineering true quality.

That brand is “Goodridge”, and we have been stocking their well-engineered parts for decades.

Nicky Grist uses Goodridge parts on his own Toyota Celica; the parts are therefore relied upon by rally and motorsport professionals across the globe.

Since 1969, Goodridge has been at the top of its game, producing fluid transfer systems that help keep the wheels moving in motorsport.

In 2026, the company is still providing some the best motorsport fluid transfer system in the business; therefore, when overhauling, say, a car's brake system, often Goodridge is the company many turn to for fittings.

Tell me a bit more about Goodridge as a brand.

Exter-based, started as a one-person band, and now employs over 400 employees worldwide.

The company is therefore a true success story, manufacturing parts for the automotive industry and many motorsport applications.

The company has successfully tested its products in demanding environments ranging from the World Rally Championship (WRC) to Formula 1.

We are now going to deep-dive into the extensive range of Goodridge products that we retail:

Goodridge in-line Fuel Filters

Just imagine for a second how many hours have been spent painstakingly building your engine.

How many times have you been drinking coffee to stay alert during that engine mod, saying to yourself, "I'll just stay on another hour and get it done!"

It's not uncommon for hundreds of hours to be spent bringing an engine, old or new, up to spec.

Your engine is now ticking over and doesn’t miss a beat, like a finely made Swiss watch.

Therefore, no matter how diligent you are with the race fuel that you buy and the containers you use to add fuel to the car, contaminants can still enter the engine. This is where the risk of contaminants, say, from old fuel cans, needs to be minimised from entering the car's engine.

For rally pros and motorsport enthusiasts, they want pure fuel entering that combustion chamber; this is where Goodridge's range of in-line fuel filters comes into its own.

Goodridge inline filters remove fuel contaminants down to the micron level, helping protect your engine, especially when it counts on full boost.

Do Goodridge make fuel lines for use in motorsport applications?

Goodridge is especially well known for its fuel lines and fittings.
We can therefore supply the following fuel line parts:

•    Goodridge fuel lines
•    Goodridge fuel line quick disconnects
•    Goodridge in-line fuel quick disconnect couplings
•    Goodridge fuel fittings

When you take a glance down into the engine bay of a high-performance touring car, often there’s a very packed engine bay design.

Every part of the engine bay is crammed full of turbo inlet pipes, heat shields and oil feed lines- there’s no room to swing a cat!

Even the most seasoned mechanic needs the best, sophisticated Snap-on or MAC tools or another brand to reach the parts they need.

This is why, when you're building your engine for motorsport purposes, you can't trust just any old T-piece or swivel connector for your fuel line to work. That relatively simple part, if made by a manufacturer that doesn’t engineer robustness into its car parts, could mean later on down the line you have to spend many hours stripping down the engine to get to, say, a coolant feed pipe that’s burst.

Therefore, when it comes to fuel and brake lines, you need quality parts from Goodridge. We stock everything you need, from in-line fuel filters to female swivel fittings. This could therefore potentially save you time from having to go through the work of stripping down an engine, removing front bumpers to get to say a short piece of braided hose.

Do Goodridge make brake lines?

Hl836 Stainless Steel Hardline (Supplied In 3M Lengths)

From £105.23 £87.69
In Stock

Goodridge most certainly does make brake lines; they are fitted to some of the highest-performance machines on the planet. Therefore, Goodridge manufactures both braided brake lines and steel straight pipes. We stock a wide range of fittings, straight pipes and fixtures to help you get your brake set up perfectly.
Take the Goodridge HL836 AN-03 Stainless steel hard line; it is manufactured from cold-drawn, seamless stainless steel- its this quality that sets the products from just using cheap mild steel pipe to do the job. This is so the pipe can withstand the pressure of the brake fluid produced by, say, a rally, GT3, or touring car.

Goodridge stainless steel brake lines

Stainless steel, when well-engineered, can offer an extremely strong brake line assembly.

Goodridge makes a wide range of stainless brake lines suitable for use across a range of motorsport vehicles.

We also stock:

•    Goodridge braided brake lines
•    Goodridge brake hoses

What about engine coolant, air intake pipes, and fittings-how can Goodridge help?

When preparing our cars for race day, it can be tempting to grab whatever is available to finish a repair or modification. When it comes to hoses that transfer fluids such as oil, coolant, and water, it's best to hold off on installation until you can purchase the right hose for the job.

For example, a stainless steel external braided hose can help protect the pipe from abrasion.

This is why braided hose, such as Goodridge’s 200 Series stainless braided hose, will always be in high demand across a range of motorsport disciplines.
