Ahmed moves up to FIA F3 with Hitech

Stilo UK Factory Pilot Enaam Ahmed, who wears a ST5 Carbon helmet supplied by Nicky Grist Motorsports, will race with the Hitech GP team in the FIA Formula 3 Championship this year.

The talented 18-year old dominated the BRDC British F3 Championship last year – becoming the youngest ever Champion with the most points ever achieved (654) and by the largest winning margin; 164 points ahead of second place. His victory in the final race of the season took him to 13 wins for the year, surpassing Ayrton Senna’s record number of race victories in a single season. Despite only being 17-years old at the time, Ahmed’s achievements were recognised with him being nominated as a McLaren Autosport BRDC Young Driver finalist.

His success in British F3 followed on from an illustrious karting career which saw him claim both the CIK-FIA World and European KF Junior Karting titles at the age of 14, a year younger than Lewis Hamilton.

“We are thrilled to have Enaam onboard for 2018,” said Hitech GP Team Principal Oliver Oakes. “He tested for us in Spa back in November and really impressed us with how quickly he got up to speed in the FIA F3 car. His season in British F3 has been very impressive”

“I’m super excited to join Hitech for my debut FIA F3 season,” added Enaam. “I’ve known Oliver [Oakes] since I was ten in karting, so we have a close working relationship already. I feel at home within the team and feel like we could have a strong package going into this year.
