Enaam Ahmed to race in Japanese F3

Enaam Ahmed, who wears a Stilo ST5 Carbon helmet supplied by Nicky Grist Motorsports, will contest the Japanese F3 championship this year, driving for the ThreeBond Racing team.

The 19-year old former British Formula 3 champion contested the European F3 series last year, winning two races and leading the points table at one stage, before finishing ninth in the standings.

But unable to find the funds to continue racing in Europe, Ahmed jumped at the opportunity to race in Japan.

A test late last year impressed the ThreeBond Racing squad and a deal was done.

Ahmed is expected back in Japan this week, where he’ll prepare for the start of the new season – beginning with a test at Suzuka.
