Stilo kart helmet saves Cook from serious injury

Jajay Cook is thankful that he was wearing a Stilo ST5 CMR, after doctors said that it was the ‘very high quality’ of his helmet that prevented the junior kart racer from sustaining serious injuries.

Cook suffered a nasty accident during the recent MSA Kartmasters British Kart Grand Prix at PF International Kart Circuit in Lincolnshire, when he was tipped upside down and dragged along a concrete rumble strip.

His Stilo ST5 CMR absorbed the repeated impacts extremely well – prompting his father Craig to very kindly send Nicky Grist Motorsports this email:

“I would just like to pass on my thanks to the guys at Stilo. My son was involved in a very nasty accident at the weekend in the British Kartmasters GP race at Trent Valley Kart Club. His kart was tipped over and he was trapped beneath it after being dragged along the concrete rumble strip. Although he was unconscious for a few minutes the doctors that treated him at Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham stressed that had it not been for the very high quality of his helmet he would have sustained extremely serious injuries if not worse.

“He was wearing the Stilo ST5 CMR….which took the brunt of the accident and despite the extensive damage on the outside, the inside is unscathed and it kept its shape throughout.

“Myself, my son and his Mum would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the manufacturer for making such a fantastic product. My son has used the Stilo range since he started in Karting in 2013 and will continue to do so throughout his racing career. Thank you again to everyone involved and keep up the good work.”

We’re delighted that Jajay is okay and will continue his racing career with Stilo – and look forward to following his progress with great interest.
