Thompson on a charge in the CIK FIA European Championship
Harry Thompson celebrated his 14th birthday yesterday by finishing second in the CIK FIA European Championship race at the Circuit International Du Grand Ouest Essay.
The Red Bull Junior kart racer, who wears a Stilo ST5 CMR helmet supplied by Nicky Grist Motorsports, enjoyed a magnificent race meeting in France – starting from pole and winning all the first four heats in his Ricky Flynn Motorsport machine. Having finished fifth in Heat 5, he started the Final from second on the grid and against the very best young European karting talent finished second in a hotly contested race.
This means that the Harlow racer is second in the CIK FIA European Championship driver standings after four rounds.
