Staedtler 2mm 2B leads are the best writing grade leads available and perfect for the Pro repelling pencils

Available in HB and 2B grade which are the only two lead compounds that you will require for your pacenote writing. 

A softer lead will leave less imprint on the paper and make it too difficult to see. Conversely, if a lead is too hard it will leave behind an imprint of a previously altered pacenote on the page, which can be distracting. 

Softer leads are recommended for events that are taking place in much colder conditions (Sweden, Norway etc) while the HB works in almost all conditions when the air is mild or warm. 

These come in a handy carry case for storage in your co-driver bag; the case also protects them from bending and snapping.
