The Stilo DG WL-10 Wireless Intercom is the next step in rally intercom technology as connection, as the name describes, is now completely wireless with the crew's helmets.
Based on the world's ONLY active digital noise-canceling intercom. the Stilo DG10, the DG WL-10 Wireless has had a few more improvements making this the ultimate in motorsport communications and the WORLDS first wireless intercom for rallying. The AQ0001 bundle includes the DG Wireless intercom (AB0520) and 2x wireless helmet keys, (AG0001) paired and ready to use.
While powered from the car's 12 volt supply the biggest change in this intercom is the Wireless functionality allowing you to drop the connection cables with the crew's helmet. This technology has been in development for over 12 months and its design and functionality have been fine-tuned allowing the best noise-canceling intercom on the market, to be improved all the more.
The Stilo DG WL-10 Wireless intercom now allows both crew members the benefit of Digital Active Noise Cancelling, the original DG10 intercom only allowed this advantage for the driver. The DIG button when depressed allows each crew member to adjust the noise-canceling to a level that is best for them, with the unit giving four different levels to benefit all cars of various sound levels. Individual volume controls allow each crew to adjust the sound levels to best suit themselves.
The helmet logos on the top of the intercom facia, allows you to add certain wireless keys and also see if they are connected. The Road/Stage mode function is also in this intercom, which when in road mode, allows the crew to receive telephone calls through the intercoms Bluetooth connection with the phone, and calls can be answered by depressing the green button in the centre of the intercoms facia.
When a helmet key is connected to the intercom, it allows connection up to 10 meters away, this allowing the crew to exit the car with their helmets on and still talk to each other. An additional extra is a wireless headset for use on-road sections.
In addition, there is one output for the crew's communications to a camera system when connected in stage mode, there is also an input for a radio interface (extra required) to allow communication with a team's radio, again this only working when connected in road mode. When stage mode is selected both the telephone and radio function cannot be heard through the intercom.
The Wireless helmet keys and headsets have their own battery which when fully charged has enough power to allow up to 5 hours of continuous talk time. Charging of these items is through a USB plug. These keys have been designed to plug directly into the new 2021 Stilo WRC Venti and ST5 R WL helmets.
