Formula Helmet | F1 Helmets
Formula motorsport helmets must be fitted with a visor and a mechanism to ensure is stays firmly in place during the high speeds experienced during a circuit race in an open car.
Formula helmets can be used in a closed car (assuming the same homologation) and there is no difference in the construction other than in the visor and a pin that connects the two.
Stilo helmets can be converted from open car to closed car and vise versa.
An FIA-sanctioned F1 helmet is needed to compete. Regardless of which Formula 1 or Formula helmet you require, we can supply a huge range of premium and high quality helmets. Some of our range of formula helmets can be made from Kevlar or Carbon Fibre. Just as shaving every possible gram in weight off an F1 car is important, so is weight saving when it comes to investing in safety equipment and helmets.
Because formula racing is open-air, with no roof, it's even more important that you buy into a quality brand of racing helmets. We would encourage you to consider a FIA approved Formula Stilo helmet.
Formula Racing helmets need to be lightweight, FIA-approved, and that is exactly what we can offer here at Nicky Grist Motorsports. Therefore, if you have ambitions to follow in the footsteps of Lewis Hamilton, Michael Schumacher, or Ayrton Senna, and need high quality safety equipment and helmets, well we have all the products you need under one roof.
